“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.” – Albert Einstein
Professor Dr. G Dave Singh DDSc PhD BDS DMD, the founder of the field of science of Epigenetic Orthodontics, Epigenetic Pnuemopedics and inventor of the DNA appliance System hired me in 2011 at his company BioModeling Solutions LLC in Beaverton, Oregon.
I helped Dr. Singh develop his business from an early startup to corporation for 5 ½ years from 2011 to 2017. My role was multi-faceted. I was the lead web application developer, database architect, administrator of the DNA appliance craniofacial diagnostic service, continuing education program project manager, learning management system administrator, corporate trainer, public speaker and various other roles.
I was also the host and administrator of a medical/dental multidisciplinary webinar program that was a nationally approved AGD PACE Continuing Education program for dental professionals.
The diverse nature of the multidisciplinary speakers expanded my understanding of the four related disciplines: Dental, Sleep Medicine, Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractic and Myofunctional Therapy. My exposure to all of these world class leading experts over the years fostered my own personal interest into their fields. I learned all that I could from them and read their research.
A sample of the speakers:
Professor Dr. G Dave Singh DDSC PhD BDS DMD., Founder of the field of science of Epigenetic Orthodontics, Inventor the DNA appliance System, Author of “Epigenetic Orthodontics in Adults and Children” with Dr. Jim Krumholtz DDS., Editor of On growth and Form: Spatio-temporal Pattern Formation in Biology“. Dr Singh is a brilliant extensive research scientist and author of over 90 peer reviewed papers including the Spatial Matrix Hypothesis. His CV is over 27 pages.
Dr. Chris Chapman DC BCAO., Atlas Orthogonal Chiropractor & Director of the Chapman Center for Spinal and Craniofacial Epigenetics , Dr Chapman is a visionary in his field. Listen to what he says.
Dr. Felix Liao DDS, President of the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine, Author of Six-Foot Tiger, Three-Foot Cage: Take Charge of your Health by Taking Charge of your Mouth, His practice is located in Fall Church, Virginia. – Whole Health Dental Center
Dr. Steven Y. Park, MD ENT, Assistant Professor of Otorhinolaryngology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Montefiore, His website is http://doctorstevenpark.com , Author of “Sleep Interrupted” , “OSA is a craniofacial issue.” – Dr. Steven Y. Park. His Twitter: @doctorpark
Alison Hazelbaker, PhD, IBCLC, FILCA, CST, RCST, Fellow of the International Lactation Consultant Association, Author of: “Tongue-Tie – Morphogenesis, Impact, Assessment and Treatment”, “Physics and Healing”, “Mind and Matter: Conceptualizations from Medicine and the Healing Arts” (FREES) and “Embryogenesis and Transformational Healing” (FREE), Her website is alisonhazelbaker.com , All of her publications are here.
Diane Bahr, CCC-SLP , Author of “Nobody Ever Told Me (or My Mother) That! Everything from Bottles and Breathing to Healthy Speech Development (Sensory World, 2010) and “Oral Motor Assessment and Treatment: Ages and Stages (Allyn & Bacon, 2001)” http://www.agesandstages.net
The webinar program went on for 5 years and close to 60 episodes. We were a small business (less than 4 people) and I was the one doing all of the video editing. Hundreds of hours of multidisciplinary training in person. And thousands of hours over the years of post production of the material we taught. Including selection and content generation for a online learning management system.
My ability to absorb information, reference everything in my knowledge base and delve deeply into any subject served me very well in that role. If I had not gone through what I did in the Marines that led me to see the patterns like in the craniofacial differences of people might not have become as apparent as they were. I am not sure if that enhanced my ability to visualize the changes inside of the airway that resulted in the 3D Printing program. I have considered whether or not if that did not happen it might not have been possible for that to occur. Life is weird. When life gives you lemons you have to make lemonade. That changed me as a person and so did working with Dr Singh.
Because you do not know what you are capable of until asked. I take my work very seriously and will take any task head on like in the Marines, as if the battle is tomorrow. I absorb the situation and apply elbow grease. If i am asked to do something I will try to do it. If i do not know the answer, I will find out. I am not done until the mission is complete or it is not possible.
For over 5 years I was the main point of technical contact on diagnosis, clarification of the epigenetic protocol of biomimetic oral appliance therapy. Doctors would routinely call me for clarification on the protocol or any questions they had. That is why my LinkedIn profile looks like I am a dentist.
I also gained the ability to look at a persons face and tell you what is going on inside from the outside.
I had manually sorted well over a 3000 individual cases. 60,000 photos roughly. 6,000 to 12,000 xrays and 2,000 CBCT scans. Went across my desk during the course of my work there of 5 1/2 years.
We were never a large business, it was always a small team. I performed many roles in the business. As the business expanded over the years so did my duties, responsibilities and projects. It was never ending. I ran the operations side of the business. I filled any role and managed any project or program needed.
I was promoted to the executive level by then President Tim Timmins and Dr. Singh in 2013. Tim was the former CEO of MetroOne Telecommunications. Tim became my mentor in understanding the business side of the corporation for two years. Tim is the guy that is not President George W. Bush or PM Tony Blair in the image to the below.
I played an integral role of the core business through the day to day operation of the diagnostic service. We hit milestone after milestone: FDA clearance of the mRNA appliance for the treatment of mild and moderate. OSA and snoring. new diagnostic service etc etc. I even appeared in a national televised commercial for the DNA appliance System as part of “In America with James Earl Jones”.
Eventually over the course of 5 ½ years, I became a board member and was the Vice President of BioModeling Solutions Inc. I left in January of 2017. There was a merger and I will just say both internal and external factors within corporations influence the law of diffusion of innovation. I wish them luck.
It was an honor to work and learn directly from Dr. Singh. His ideas and discoveries are revolutionary. It was a life changing educational experience for me. A personal 5-year mentor-ship from a visionary like Dr. Singh with five doctorates at that level, for that duration was an experience like none other.
It fascinated me. I read all of the research he had done. Bounced question after question off of him. He is after all the leading expert in his field. I had unfettered access to learn anything from him and the capacity to understand it. That changed my understanding of what I thought I knew, yet again.
“I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.” – Albert Einstein
I processed thousands of cases over the years through the diagnostic service. I can attest to the effectiveness of the Epigenetic Orthodontics, Craniofacial Epigenetics, Epigenetic Pnuemopedics – also known as non-surgical airway remodeling – as a corrective treatment for craniofacial underdevelopment and the related airway problems. If there is a provider near you go get one. And follow the directions exactly. Make sure the doctor is following up regularly with follow up visits for adjustments. Critical Component patient compliance every day. It will work great if done properly.
Professionally, I was at crossroads of dental and medical science standing on a new frontier with a dental medical device company that has a product that cures a major disease using an epigenetic protocol. Which in the traditional paradigm of dental school training was not even supposed to be possible. But it is possible… I stood on the bleeding edge of dental/medical innovation with the founder of the field.
What is past that bleeding edge? A future full of possibilities … that is why I started this business.
I have a lots more to do in the world and help many more people in more ways, And that is what I aim to do.
